Some WebSurg e-learning activities have been accredited by the UEMS-EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) since 2002.
This ensures the recognition of the credits acquired via the platform, at a European level. Agreements with “American Medical Association” allow to convert the credits to
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. This accreditation certifies the educational content’s quality and the relevance of the content.
These CME credits are delivered for free by WebSurg, to surgeons who have taken and passed the test in the activities section successfully:
Of note, 1 point is delivered for 1 hour of training completed for the chosen activity.
WebSurg members can take one test to obtain one CME credit. At the end of the test, if it is completed successfully, the user will be delivered a certificate to print out.
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The delivery of the certificate of attendance is linked to the completion of an evaluation form and self-evaluation test. The CME provider has defined the criteria for passing the test.
EACCME accreditation for the 2 e-learning activities begins on the day of February 14, 2017. Term of approval is for 2 years from this date (between February 14, 2017 and February 14, 2019).
Participation in each of the self-study activities should be completed in approximately 0.5 to 1 hour. To successfully complete one activity and receive credit, participants must follow these steps during the period from February 14, 2017 through February 14, 2019 for the 2 operative techniques.
Make sure that you have provided all the necessary data and your date of birth on the registration form. WebSurg and the EACCME Secretariat of the UEMS require this information in order to grant credit and issue a certificate. If you have not provided this information, please click here.
